Description
1. Santochlor 10ml Drops contains Chloramphenicol as a drops, marketed by Sante (Pvt) Limited. Category: Eye Antibiotic.
2. Chloramphenicol was first isolated in 1947 from the cultures of Streptomyces venezuelae.
3. Used for: Acromegaly, Acute epiglottitis, Anaerobic infections, Bacterial infections, Blepharitis, Brain abscesses, Brucellosis, Cellulitis, Corneal ulcers, Intraocular infections, Iron deficiency anaemia, Keratoconjuctivitis sicca.
4. Precautions: Evaluate blood count after every 2 days during therapy of chloramphenicol.
5. Storage: Caps, Oral Susp, Dry Powder for Inj Store at room temperature. Protect from Sunlight. Cream, Syrup, Eye Ointment, Eye Drops, Ear Soln Store in a well closed container, at room temperature. Do not Freeze. Protect from Sunlight. Inj (reconstituted soln) Store at room temperature. Use within 24-48 hrs if kept at room temperature.. Pack: 10ml. Use only as directed; check expiry and DRAP registration on the pack.
