Description
1. Novoteph 40mg Capsule contains Esomeprazole 40mg as a capsule, marketed by Sami Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd.. Category: Anti-ulcer (PPI / H2 Blocker).
2. Esomeprazole is an ulcer-healing drug, that inhibits gastric acid by blocking the proton-pump (Hydrogen-Potassium atpase enzyme system) of the gastric perital cells.
3. Used for: Gastric ulcer, Gastro-esophageal reflux disease, NSAID-associated ulceration, Zollinger-ellison syndrome.
4. Precautions: Esomeprazole should be given with caution in patients with renal impairment, liver disease, in pregnancy and in breast-feeding.
