Description

1. Daonil Tablet contains Glibenclamide + Metformin HCl as a tablet, marketed by Sanofi Aventis (Pakistan) Ltd.. Category: Antidiabetic (Oral).
2. Glibenclamide is a oral hypoglycemic agent. Metformin (HCl) is oral biguanide antidiabetic agent, introduced in 1950s.
3. Used for: Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, Softening and dilatation of cervix before mechanical cervical dilatation; Diabetes mellitus, Hyperlipoproteinaemia, Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, Insulin resistance, Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, Obesity.

Precautions: During treatment with glibenclamide, compliance to diet and regular tablet intake are of utmost importance to preserve the efficacy of treatment and to avoid unwanted changes in the blood sugar… Metformin should be used with caution in patients with pre-existing liver disease, kidney disease, heart trouble or if have any allergy, infections.
