Description

1. Co Valtec 160/25mg Tablet (28s) contains Valsartan 160mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg as a tablet, marketed by Tabros Pharma. Category: Antihypertensive (ARB).
2. Valsartan belongs to a new and rapidly growing group of drugs known as angiotensin receptor antagonists. Hydrochlorothiazide is a prototype drug of thiazide diuretics.
3. Used for: Chronic congestive heart failure, Hypertension, Myocardial infarction; Diabetes insipidus, Edema, Hypercalciuria, Hypertension, Nephrolithiasis, Nephrotic syndrome, Oedema, Proximal renal tubular acidosis.
4. Precautions: Valsartan should be used with caution in patients with any pre-existing kidney or liver disease, congestive heart failure, diabetes or any allergy, especially drug allergy. Hydrochlorothiazide should be used with caution in patients with diabetes, kidney or liver disease or any drug allergy.
