Description

1. Co Valid 80/12.50mg Tablet contains Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg + Valsartan 80mg as a tablet, marketed by Scilife Pharma (Private) Ltd.. Category: Antihypertensive (ARB).
2. Hydrochlorothiazide is a prototype drug of thiazide diuretics. Valsartan belongs to a new and rapidly growing group of drugs known as angiotensin receptor antagonists.
3. Used for: Diabetes insipidus, Edema, Hypercalciuria, Hypertension, Nephrolithiasis, Nephrotic syndrome, Oedema, Proximal renal tubular acidosis; Chronic congestive heart failure, Hypertension, Myocardial infarction.
4. Precautions: Hydrochlorothiazide should be used with caution in patients with diabetes, kidney or liver disease or any drug allergy. Valsartan should be used with caution in patients with any pre-existing kidney or liver disease, congestive heart failure, diabetes or any allergy, especially drug allergy.
